Volume 4, Issue 1 Call for Contributions

We are now accepting submission Volume 4, Issue 1, to be released in Spring/Summer 2011.

CALL FOR PAPERS

NEXT ISSUE: ‘Creativity and Innovation in Sociology of the 21st Century’

Our next issue will be dedicated to ‘Creativity and Innovation in the Sociology of the 21st Century’. We are interested in publishing works from those postgraduate students, both taught and research, who can demonstrate that their research includes original, creative and innovative methods and approaches. Our call is not, however, restricted to methodology; it also invites contributions which utilize innovative ideas and original findings. We invite those students who in their research aim at establishing new connections, (re)discovering new territories and proposing new solutions to (old) problems. Contributions are encouraged from students in any disciplinary area; they include but are not limited to:

  • classical sociology
  • social work
  • criminology
  • social policy
  • gender studies
  • women’s studies
  • mental health
  • learning disability
  • migration studies
  • clinical psychology

The length of the article should not exceed 5000 words. The provisional deadline for articles is 17 January, 2011 (start of Spring Term). If you are interested in publishing your research paper in Skepsi please contact us now at skepsi@kent.ac.uk.

We will gladly answer to any questions that you might have.

Skepsi Style Guide, fourth edition and other goodies!

Dear authors, peer reviewers, copy editors and proof readers,

thanks to the hard work of Harriet Clements and Maureen Speller, we are proud to announce the release of the fourth edition of Skepsi‘s style guide, which can be downloaded at THIS ADDRESS.

While this PDF file is of crucial importance for us all, Harriet and Maureen have created a further invaluable instrument for prospective and current authors, peer reviewers, copy editors and proof readers. It is a read only Word file that will give you the instructions to import Skepsi‘s own styles into the article you are formatting, without the need for you to manually fiddle with settings. You can (and should) download it at THIS ADDRESS.
