Victoria is a recent Psychology graduate at Lancaster University. Her research interests lie within the fields of social and developmental psychology, with a focus on the development of prejudice and gender issues. Her own undergraduate research examined school children’s attitudes towards vegan and vegetarian peers, finding novel evidence in support of the early stereotyping of veg*ns as lacking in masculine traits. She is hoping to extend this research in the future, further examining intervention strategies. Her own personal project (Rainbow Jam) gives literary space to gender non-conforming children. Her goal is to disrupt both gender stereotyping and prejudice towards non-conforming social groups (such as veg*ns) whilst attitudes are still amenable to change.
