Internship at the Aspinall Foundation

Doing the Year in Professional Practice or in your final year and looking to gain experience through a work placement?

Howletts Wild Animal Park has 2 exciting placements for enthusiastic individuals wanting to gain valuable zoo animal keeping experience working alongside keepers on the Hoofstock section.

Situated near Canterbury in Kent, Howletts works in conjunction with The Aspinall Foundation; a charity committed to conservation and the reintroduction of captive bred species back into their native habitats.

They are looking for candidates willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months up to a possible maximum of 12 months, working from 8am to 5pm, 5 days per week including weekends.

This placement is a physically demanding position, so applicants must be physically fit, self-motivated and have a genuine interest in conservation and zoo animal care. The internship is unpaid and would benefit those already qualified or established in conservation or animal care and looking for further specialist zoo experience.

A valid manual driving licence is desirable and accommodation is not offered.

To apply: Please use the form on the Aspinall Foundation website or email a CV along with a covering email to eileenb@aspinallfoundation.org
