This month, our VC Cup teams came together for an unforgettable showdown on the court — a goalball tournament that brought energy, excitement, and friendly rivalry to a whole new level. For those unfamiliar, goalball is a unique team sport designed for athletes with visual impairments. Played with a ball embedded with bells, the game relies on sound and teamwork, requiring players to use all their senses to defend their goal and score against their opponents. It’s fast-paced, strategic, and surprisingly intense!
From the very first whistle, the atmosphere was electric. Teams gave it their all, diving, blocking, and shouting encouragement from the sidelines. Each match had the crowd on the edge of their seats, with narrow victories and dramatic turnarounds keeping the suspense high. The tournament showcased not only athleticism but also incredible communication and collaboration under pressure.
As the second day unfolded, the tension built with every round. There were nail-biting saves, buzzer-beater goals, and moments of pure sportsmanship that reminded everyone why we love events like this. The final matches were fiercely contested, and every team left the court with heads held high, having given everything.
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for — our winners:
1st Place: Return of the Mac
2nd Place: Flu Fighters
3rd Place: Liquorice All Sports
