Try Kent Sport’s new Fitsteps class: strictly dance, fun and fitness

Kent Sport is introducing a new class to its timetable based in the Strictly Come Dancing television show. FitSteps is a brand new ballroom and Latin-based group workout, devised by none other than Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe from Strictly Come Dancing fame.

Jeni Dexter, Kent Sport Studio Co-ordinator and Health and Fitness Instructor said, “We are really excited to be bringing Fitsteps to Kent Sport. Fitsteps is brilliant fun and if you enjoy Strictly, you will really enjoy this class!”

Fitsteps is one of the free Kent Sport taster classes available during the University of Kent Welcome Week. It offers a really fun, energetic and effective way to stay fit and keep trim, so if you want to have a strictly fantastic time, come and join in with the class this Thursday at 6.40pm.

Existing gold and silver members can book the welcome week classes up to seven days in advance. Bronze members can book up to three days in advance and pay the relevant fee, or wait until an hour before the class and collect a wristband from the Sports Centre reception and enjoy a class for free if space is available.

Non-members can also collect a wristband at the Sports Centre reception an hour before the taster classes start on a first come first served basis, while space is available.

For details of the other free welcome week fitness and dance classes, see the timetable here or pick up a copy from the Sports Centre reception. Once you have tried out the classes don’t forget to pick up a term-time timetable. Visit www.kent.ac.uk/sports for details.
