Kent Sport launches Stay Well @ Home

by Oli Prior, Head of Physical Activities

It’s official, this is a unique and unprecedented time for everyone.  Whether you find yourself at home either on your own, alone with family members or with your kids who have been sent home from school and are probably testing your patience.  Many of you are now working from home or are actually dealing with the virus directly or indirectly.  We want to support all of you that are doing your best to follow the national guidelines, those that are staying put and finding new ways to keep physically active, we will engage with you and try to help you keep a positive frame of mind during this anxious and unpredictable time.

Since closing Kent Sport facilities last Friday the Kent Sport Team have all been discussing ideas to keep our membership community and University partners engaged in physical activity, wellbeing, follow good habits as well as a provide a brief sense of normality with instruction or advice from a familiar Kent Sport face.

With this in mind we will shortly be launching a regular Blog and Vlog through our webpage and social media channels as well through our University partner webpages.  The breadth of content will provide information and guidance for different levels, abilities and age groups and try to account for the different environments you all find yourself in.  Some content may not be helpful for everyone but we will endeavor to provide a broad range utilizing the talent, expertise and personalities we have available at Kent Sport and help you stay on track.

We will not have all the answers so will also provide some useful links and signpost other services and material that may be useful.
