On Saturday 7 March, we are proud to host the International Women’s Day Extravaganza 2026. Join the Kent FA and Kent Sport at the Sports Pavilion on the University of Kent’s Canterbury campus for a FREE football session for all women and girls. We look forward to seeing many new players of all ages coming along and enjoying the day!
After the success of last years event, Kent FA would love to get even more females involved, this year at an even bigger venue with even more opportunities for new ballers to get involved.

Details of the day
Join us for a fantastic day celebrating female footballers of all ages, from first‑time players to seasoned players.
Date: Saturday 7 March 2026. Sessions start from 10am. Registration open from 11.30 for Cups, 13.30 KO.
Location: University of Kent Sports Pavilion, Canterbury, CT2 7NZ. Directions to campus.
The morning will consist of:
- 10am to 11am – Wildcats session (5 to 11 years old)
- 11.15am to 12.15pm – Squad Girls session (12 to 15 years old)
- Learn to Play (16 years plus) beginners’ sessions plus a session just for Mums, Aunties and sisters to join in!
Plus, there will be a fun kit‑design challenge, with the winning design being made into a real kit!

The afternoon will consist of two tournaments:
Women’s Recreational Cup
- 7‑a‑side format
- Squads of up to 12 players
- Open to teams currently playing in the Casual League or those looking to form a new 7‑a‑side team
- Please note: players registered to an 11‑a‑side team during the current season are not eligible to take part
One recreational team per club
Walking Football Cup
- 6‑a‑side format
- Squads of up to 12 players
- Open to established walking football teams, as well as groups who would like to come along and try walking football for the first time
One walking football team per club
Sign up online. Places are limited and will be restricted to first come first served, teams signing up once entries are full will be notified of being added to a waiting list.
