BRIT Challenge 2022

Join Team Kent Uni and help us run, walk, cycle or swim 2022 miles and raise vital funds for student mental health charities

The BRIT Challenge officially starts on 1 February and will end on 3 March 2022. In that time, our goal is to complete 2022 miles collectively, while raising funds for the British Inspiration Trust (BRIT) and the student mental health charities they support. So grab some mates, get out there and clock those miles!

A running total of the overall miles and fundraising will be added to our BRIT Challenge webpage, along with any special events happening throughout the challenge.

3 March is also Student Mental Health Day, so it’s the perfect time to end the challenge and signpost support services on campus.

How to get involved

You can run, walk, jog, cycle, swim or even walk on your hands to help us reach our 2022 mile target. We’re aiming to raise vital funds for mental health charities across the country.

Clocking your miles

You can clock all the miles you do by:

  • Using dedicated gym equipment at the Sports Centre on the Canterbury campus
  • Tracking your miles on a smart watch / app and providing this to our gym staff
  • Joining our Power Hour challenge (see below) either individually or as part of a team.

Donating

You can donate to the challenge by visiting the JustGiving link on the British Inspiration Trust (BRIT) Challenge website.

Kick the challenge up a notch by taking on the Power Hour!

How far can you and your club mates, colleagues or college residents go in one hour?!

Compete individually or as a group of any size* and post the most miles.

Studio space or Fitness Suite access can be coordinated to support your team’s effort or a set of spin bikes can be brought to you across campus so you can compete more conveniently.

To discuss your Power Hour effort and logistics please email o.prior@kent.ac.uk ASAP
