The Sports Development team hosted “It’s a Knockout” in the last event for the VC’s Cup. The event featured a series of engaging and interactive challenges aimed to test the team’s teamwork and communication
The first challenge was all about communication and trust. One team member was blindfolded while the rest of the team guided them through an obstacle course using only their voices. Along the way, participants had to make their way over low hurdles, step through hula hoops, and even put on a bib before reaching the end.
Once they had completed the course, the team then had to guide them safely back to the start line. With two teams going head-to-head, the race was on to see who could finish first. It made for plenty of laughs while showing just how important clear communication and teamwork can be.
Next up was the ball transfer challenge. Working in pairs, participants had to move plastic balls from one bucket to another using only two wooden spoons. The first round gave teams a helping hand with two metal batons, but the second round stepped things up as both participants had to complete the challenge while blindfolded. It wasn’t as easy as it looked, but there were lots of creative strategies, encouragement, and a few funny moments along the way.
The third activity challenged the whole team to work together by balancing a pen on just one finger each while standing in a circle. Staying connected the entire time, teams then had to carefully make their way through an obstacle course without dropping the pens. It took plenty of communication, patience, and coordination, with everyone needing to move as one.
The final challenge brought out everyone’s competitive side. Teams raced to blow a plastic cup along a string from one end to the other, battling it out over five fast-paced races. It was a simple challenge, but one that created lots of excitement, cheering, and determination to be the first team across the finish line.

Overall, It’s a Knockout gave staff the opportunity to work together, have fun, and build stronger connections through a series of engaging team challenges.
