Over the course of ten weeks, student teams undertook careful and detailed market analysis and research around market segmentation, customer profiling and brand awareness.
“The Pitch It! event has been incredibly useful for us. It has given us an insight into a real business and has allowed us to analyse and look into key aspects of the company. It was really useful and really fun too!” Fern Davis, Year 2 Business and Management
The best student teams were selected to pitch back their innovative and practical ideas to the sales & marketing Director and Manager of Chapel Down winery at the University of Kent’s Medway campus.
“As a third year student I have given a lot of presentations but today we’ve probably received the best constructive criticism; the feedback has really helped us. We now know how important is to do your background research very thoroughly”. Thomas Pleasant, Year 3 Accounting & Management
Individual students who shone on the day were offered an opportunity to undertake placement work with Chapel Down during holiday time.
“This Pitch It challenge has been a great opportunity to do some independent work and to enhance our group working skills which has been brilliant. Working with Chapel Down has been great”. Chloé Davis, Year 3 Business and Management
