About the speakers

This workshop will be led by two experienced professionals from Horizonscan Ltd, a leading consultancy specialising in business continuity, resilience, and crisis management.

John Benfield and Will Scobie delivering a workshop

Will Scobie (right) is the Managing Director of Horizonscan and an expert in business resilience and risk management. Holding an MBA from Kent Business School (2018) and a double master’s in European Governance (MA), Will is also a certified member of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and a Chartered Manager (CMgr) accredited by the Chartered Management Institute. At Horizonscan, he is responsible for strategy, finance, and business development, helping organisations navigate uncertainty and strengthen resilience.

John Benfield (left) is the Business Development Manager at Horizonscan, bringing a background in business and client management across retail banking and education. He is also a Chartered Manager, professionally certified by the Disaster Recovery Institute (CBCV) and has just completed his MBA at Kent Business School. His expertise lies in supporting businesses to implement effective risk management frameworks and prepare for unexpected disruptions.
