Kent Business School has been reaccredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for a further six years in recognition of its commitment to excellence in business education. Having first received accreditation in 2019, this extension means that Kent Business School remains within the top 6% of business schools worldwide.

Professor Jesse O’Hanley, Interim Dean of Kent Business School and Professor of Environmental Systems Management, said: ‘We are delighted and proud to achieve AACSB reaccreditation. It reflects the school’s commitment to continuously improve in all areas of our activity to deliver on our aim to develop the next generation of responsible leaders and entrepreneurs who can make a difference in the world. Reaccreditation was accomplished through a true team effort and reflects the engagement of our staff, students, alumni, stakeholders and external partners. I would like to thank AACSB and the Peer Review Team for their valuable feedback, which will enable us to build on our successes.’

AACSB is the longest-serving global accreditation body for business schools. Accreditation provides a framework of nine international standards: encompassing areas such as Strategic Management and Innovation, Learner Success, and Thought Leadership, Engagement, and Societal Impact, and provide a framework for continuous improvement. Schools achieving AACSB accreditation have successfully undergone a rigorous and intense review process conducted by their peers in the business education community, ensuring that they have the resources, credentials, and commitment needed to provide students with the highest standards of business education.

According to AACSB research, 73% of the CEOs representing Fortune 100 companies and 75% of top paid CEOs representing S&P 500 companies have a degree from an AACSB-accredited school (2024 AACSB analysis of Fortune 500 and S&P 500 company data).
