Two more speakers announced for this Friday’s MBA Guest Lecture

Kavitha Chahel

In early celebration of the forthcoming International Women’s Day and this year’s theme of #InspireInclusion, we invite you hear from a panel of three inspiring female leaders on Friday 23 February, from 12:30 to 14:00 (UK time). You are welcome to attend in person to the MBA Suite in Sibson building (Canterbury campus) or online via Teams (details below). Joining Morenike Ajayi MBE, who we announced at the end of January, are:

Kavitha Chahel BSc MBA (Kent Business School) FRSA

Kavitha Chahel (pictured above) is the author of Compassionism and contributing author of Up-lift. A coach, with a passion for compassionate communication, her goal is to work with and support educated and ambitious women (40+) on how to problem solve with compassion. She is an activist, experienced leadership coach and company director. For 20 years, Kavitha has worked in business development, marketing, business leadership and business strategy in the corporate, public and charitable sectors.

She has worked with clients across EMEA, APAC and the Americas. Kavitha is a Non-executive director of ASHA projects, a charity that provides refuge to women and children fleeing from domestic violence. She is a speaker and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Middlesex and London Metropolitan University … and now is coming back to Kent, where she graduated with her MBA in 2004, to talk to us!

Priscilla Chomba-Kinywa

Priscilla Chomba-KinywaPriscilla Chomba-Kinywa is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Greenpeace International. She is responsible for providing leadership for the development and realisation of the organisation’s Digital Transformation strategy and visualising how technology can be used responsibly to increase internal efficiency and external impact in a rapidly transforming environment, particularly in light of the climate crisis. A Digital Transformation strategist and ICT4D expert, Priscilla has experience in technology and innovation spanning 20 years in Africa, Asia, Americas, Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific. Prior to joining Greenpeace International, Priscilla worked in both emergency and development contexts with various organisations including UNICEF, the UN World Food Programme, Danish Church Aid and ActionAid International.

Our MBA Women in Leadership Scholar, Varsha Nayak and two other MBA students, Thet Htar Nyein and Amir Shoaei will appear alongside MBA Director, Debbie Kemp to welcome a global live audience, bringing together our community of MBA students, alumni, and the broader community of business leaders.
