KBS Lecturer & Student Attend Future Leader Event Hosted by CPA Australia

On Friday 8 November 2019, Judy Cohen and Will Jennett attended the Future Leader’ Luncheon & Business Leadership Panel Discussion.

The event was hosted by CPA Australia, one of the world’s largest accounting bodies working in 150 countries and regions globally and held at the London Stock Exchange which is one of the world’s oldest stock exchanges with a history tracing back over 300 years.

Kent Business School (KBS) Lecturer in Accounting and Business Education, Judy Cohen, attended the event with KBS  Accounting and Finance student Will Jennett.

The event provided a rare opportunity for young professionals to lunch with senior business leaders and take the first step in their career where they could gain direct insights into what it takes to succeed in a globally competitive environment.

Will thought that the event was an amazing experience, and the discussion held by the panel really helped him to further his awareness of contemporary issues within the business world. He continued “I would highly recommend the event for students who want to gain an advantage within their studies and for the search of graduate jobs/undergraduate placement schemes.”

The panel discussion featured senior executives from different industry sectors, covering banking and finance, The Big 4, entrepreneurship, technology and media, they each shared their advanced insights into:

  • Preparation for an international career
  • Staying engaged with life-long learning
