A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Kent Business School (KBS) can really help your career take off. It aims to build on your existing experience to transform you into a responsible business leader who understands and can embed sustainable management practices for the advancement of local – and global – communities.
Kent Business School’s place as a top-20 UK business school ensures that you will receive the highest quality of programme delivery. Our MBA combines rigorous business theory with relevant practical application by utilising case study-based teaching, a European study tour, consultancy work on live projects and internships with high-profile, international businesses.
Applying for our MBA
Submitting your application for our MBA is a simple process that can all be carried out online via the University of Kent’s online prospectus. This page also provides a much more detailed overview of the programme and how it can benefit you.
There are a few simple things to bear in mind when applying for the Kent MBA which will help the process run smoothly for both you and us:
- Ensure all supporting documentation is submitted with your online application form
- Make sure you supply a unique personal email address. If you are applying through an agent we will copy them into all correspondence with the Business School
- Provide an up-to-date personal telephone number as all applicants who meet the entry criteria will be required to have a telephone interview with the Programme Director.
All fully completed applications are given the highest level of attention by the KBS Admissions Board and we aim to give you a decision within two-to-three weeks from receipt.
Scholarships and funding
There are several scholarship and funding opportunities available for the Kent MBA contributing up to 50% of the tuition fee. In total there are seven different Scholarships that you can apply for depending on your circumstances, and cover UK, EU and international applicants.
If you wish to undertake the Kent MBA but may find it financially difficult to do so, the Kent Business School Bursary is available. It is means tested and non-repayable, and is designed to take some of the financial weight off applicants’ shoulders.
Finally, KBS has made available three different discounts for the Kent MBA. Details of the Early Bird scheme are noted below, but in addition if you Graduate in 2018 with a 2:1 or higher, you are eligible for the Double Loyalty scheme, and if you are a corporate student looking to study the Kent MBA on a part time basis you could benefit from the Corporate Discount.
Application deadlines
Quite simply the sooner you can get your application to KBS the better! Places are limited and the earlier we can review an application the more likely it is that we will consider making an offer. A key deadline to consider in your application is the end of March as this is when our Early Bird scheme, which offers a 10% discount on tuition fees, comes to an end.
Even if you submit your application after July 31 we will still consider it, providing there is still space on the programme. Due to the highly competitive nature of our courses, however, we do require applicants to pay a £1,000 deposit to guarantee a place to study. Our Student Funding page offers more detailed information on further funding options.

A great way of understanding whether the Kent MBA is the right fit for you is to attend an MBA Briefing at the Kent Business School. You will be able to meet our staff and other potential applicants and all briefings are free to attend. Visit our events page to find and book a briefing.
