The National Student Survey 2018 is now open and it is your chance to tell us what we’re doing right, and what we can improve on. Moreover if you get in quick, both the University of Kent and Kent Business School are offering a ‘thank you’ for taking the time to offer your opinions.
One of the most important barometers of your satisfaction with the facilities and teaching we are providing is open for your feedback. Running until Monday 30 April the National Student survey (NSS) is available for final year undergraduates to offer their honest opinions which directly inform what both the University of Kent, and Kent Business School specifically, implement to improve.
Get Involved, Get Rewarded
The survey itself is both simple and quick to complete – and for your peace of mind, it’s completely anonymous. As a ‘thank you’ to all students who complete the NSS by Monday 12 February, the University is offering a £10 Amazon Gift voucher. To claim this reward you simply need to forward your completion email to nssawards@kent.ac.uk before the deadline expires.
Kent Business School is going one step further and offering you entry into a Prize Draw for a £100 Amazon voucher. All KBS students who complete the survey in the first week, by midnight on Sunday, 28 January, will be eligible to enter. You just need to email your completion receipt to kbsugo@kent.ac.uk by the deadline.
How to Have Your Say
Getting your views heard couldn’t be much simpler. To access the survey and your personal link, all eligible students will receive an email from independent market researchers, IPSOS Mori, on Wednesday 24 January. Eligible students can access the survey before receiving their invite (and find out more) by going to http://www.thestudentsurvey.com/.
Why is the NSS Important?
Quite simply, it helps to inform change. Surveys in recent years have enabled us to listen and respond. Here are some examples of how your voice has been heard:
- “Submitting assignments should be easier.” – We introduced online-only submissions for the 2017/2018 academic year.
- “I need more study space on campus.” – In March 2017 we opened the state-of-the-art Sibson building with 7,900m2 of brand new learning, study and research space.
- “I want to refer back to lecture material to help me revise or write my assignment.” – By the end of the 2017/2018 academic year, we will be providing recorded lecture content for all modules.
- “I want to receive my feedback in a timely manner.” – We’re working closely with academics to closely track your marks and feed back to you within the three week turnaround period.
We look forward to hearing what you have to say about your experience at the University of Kent, and as a valued part of Kent Business School. Visit our Student Voice page online to find out more ways to provide us with feedback.
