Why did you choose to study your MBA?
I was working with a large consulting firm in the information technology sector before applying for an MBA degree. After three years of work I felt confined by my role. I wanted to use new skills to develop into my managerial potential. To achieve this, I needed professional direction and training, so this is why I chose to complete an MBA.
What was the most valuable lesson you learned during your MBA?
I would say the most valuable lesson was recognising globalisation as the norm and that networking is the key to business growth. In my future job roles I will also always appreciate that being aware, time-bound and culturally sensitive are essential factors when evaluating different business scenarios.
What have you done since completing the course?
Since completing the Kent MBA, I have been able to make a career transition and venture into management consulting. I am currently working with a private strategic advisory firm in India as an Associate Consultant. In addition to this, I am undertaking my PhD at University of Bath School of Management in the field of corporate social responsibility and strategy.
