If you need to change an already existing registration, e.g., to add accommodation or social events, please email iwota2024@kent.ac.uk with the required changes.

Registration Packages

Up to May 31st:

  • Early bird regular fee £250
  • Early bird reduced fee for Early Career Researchers (PhD/research students or anyone who has completed their PhD in the last five years, excluding academic career breaks) £150
  • Regular fee £300
  • Reduced fee for Early Career Researchers £180

The registration package will include conference materials, tea/coffee breaks and lunches.

Contributed Talks

During the registration process, you will be asked if you want to give a talk. If so, you will need to select one of the Special Sessions that you would like to speak in. Proposed talks will be forwarded to organisers of the special sessions to be reviewed.

Social Programme

The social programme consists of

  • a conference dinner on Thursday evening (£45 per person),
  • a guided walking tour of the city on Wednesday afternoon (£10 per person).

For these events it is possible to register an additional accompanying person.

Accommodation

There is some accommodation available on campus which can be booked through the registration webpage above. Alternatively, there are hotels and B&Bs available in town. See the page on Practical Information for more details.

Invitation Letters / Certificates of Attendance

If you need an invitation letter (e.g. for a visa application) or a certificate of attendance please tick the appropriate box during registration.

Financial Support

In addition to the reduced registration fee for Early Careers Researchers, we have some limited funds which participants can apply for:

  • For UK research students funds to support the accommodation in Canterbury (from the London Mathematical Society). Please contact iwota2024@kent.ac.uk before May 31st if you wish to be considered.
  • European Mathematical Society (EMS) support for qualified mathematicians from within the geographical area of the EMS without appropriate financial support, notably researchers within 10 years after Ph.D. degree. Please contact iwota2024@kent.ac.uk before May 31st if you wish to be considered.
  • The LMS administers a Childcare Supplementary Grant Scheme.  Further information about this scheme can be found on the LMS website:   http://www.lms.ac.uk/content/childcare-supplementary-grants
  • We hope to be able to provide partial financial support from the NSF for participating graduate students, junior mathematicians (including postdocs), women and members of underrepresented groups in the mathematical sciences from the US. More details to follow soon.
