Into the Light is a short Student Film about a Cult that meets in the cellar of a church. They are kept there against their will by their Charismatic but sociopathic cult Leader. The three “brothers” of the cult, live there permanently unbeknown to members of the church upstairs. Until one unexpected say, a brother attempts escaping, into the light…

These characters have little to no speaking role but a lot of screen presence. Gender and race are unimportant so please do not let that deter you. You will not be expected on set for more than two days at an absolute maximum. This film calls more for subtlety. Acting Experience Required. Film experience preferable but not necessary. This film will most likely be released into the film circuit after completion so please keep this in mind when attending.

Brother C:

He is a gentle but curious member of the cult. Quiet but inquisitive. Ultimately the only member of the cult to ask deeper questions. Tendency to not comply wholeheartedly, gets him into a lot of trouble. Takes each punishment with a heavy heart but stays quiet. Youthful in appearance. He is very intelligent but not conceited.

Brother D:

He is blindly devoted to The Leader and is the most obedient. Stoic and strong. Stronger and harsher features. Has the most knowledge on the cult traditions and this makes him annoyed with the other two brothers who aren’t as devotional. Perpetually unimpressed, and a little arrogant.

Brother M:

He seems as if he is the youngest Brother though we don’t know for sure. He is incredibly quiet and introverted. Timid and nervous. Seems to have an unspoken alliance with Brother C. Soft features and a smaller frame. Lovable.
