Getting Here & Accessibility

The conference will be split across two rooms: the Aphra Theatre and the Lumley Theatre.

For lunches and the conference dinner, we will be in The Gulbenkian.

Getting Here

The University of Kent is a campus university just outside of the city of Canterbury, Kent.

There are frequent, high speed train services to Canterbury from London St Pancras International. There are also direct services from London Victoria, London Charing Cross, Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International.

On Foot (from Canterbury West Station):

You can walk from Canterbury West train station to the campus (about 25-30 minutes).

Turn left out of the station and walk to the end of the road.

Just after the ‘Goods Shed’ on your left, take the footpath on the left and take the subway under the railway line.

The University is signposted on blue signs from here.

 

By Bus:

To the University from:

Canterbury Bus Station — regular bus service Uni 1 and Uni 2 takes approximately 14 minutes.

Canterbury East Train Station — turn right straight outside the station (do not cross the bridge opposite the station) and follow the road to the bus stop — regular bus service Uni 1 and Uni 2.

Canterbury West Train Station —  turn right and walk to the end of the road, cross the road at the zebra crossing and the bus stop is on the left — regular bus service Uni 1 and Uni 2.

You should alight at Keynes bus stop.

 

By Taxi:

Fares from the city centre to the University are about £10-£15 and take between 5-10 minutes.
