Louise: The Brompton Academy Assemblies

“I will be writing about our Skyline project. On Thursday 7th March, the Year 9’s had an introductory assembly which introduced us to the new project. At the end of the project we hope to get a new sculpture designed and built to be put into the new build. To do this we have to get ideas from students on what the sculpture should be. Once ideas have been collected there will be a panel made up of students, staff, teachers and other people in the community. They will have the job to pick a design which will be given to sculptor, Sam Holland.

Now you know what the whole project is about, I will give a small report on that assembly…

The very first thing I noticed was the scenery on the stage. Everyone else also noticed the stage, it was exciting and something new! We got told to make waves for the installation by tearing the paper which is harder than it actually looks! Everyone seemed excited and almost everyone put their ideas into what the sculpture in the new build should be or look like. Overall it was a very exciting assembly!”
