Skyline Competition

About the Skyline Art and Creative Writing Competition

Led by the University of Kent, the Skyline project will produce a permanent sculpture positioned in the grounds of Brompton Academy, viewable by the local community from the Great Lines Heritage Park. The design will result from a year of community projects including the art and creative writing competition.

Artist Sam Holland will combine ideas from the work of primary, secondary school students and adults from the community to make the sculpture.  The winning competition entries from this art and creative writing competition will be used to inspire Sam’s sculpture.

The winners will play a vital role in the design and development of the sculpture. They will also receive tickets to the private launch preview, and have their art and/or creative writing work displayed in the Skyline Exhibition.

There will be a public vote to decide the final artwork based upon the winning work.
