Teacher Training at Canterbury Christ Church University
We know it can be difficult to navigate your way through the different routes to becoming a teacher so that is why we are offering University of Kent final year undergraduate students, who meet the entry requirements, a guaranteed interview to secure a teacher training place.
Entry requirements:
• For primary teaching: a good honours degree (2:2 or above), English, maths and science at GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent
• For secondary teaching: a good honours degree (2:2 or above) with 50% in the subject in which you wish to train to teach, English and maths at GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent
We encourage candidates to have undertaken experience in schools prior to interview, but if you have not had this full experience (you will need some understanding of schools for the interview), it will still be possible to attend an interview and complete the experience afterwards as a condition of you offer.
You will also need to pass the government skills tests in literacy and numeracy before you commence the course.
How to apply:
Applications are made via UCAS teacher training. Submit yours as soon as possible so you make the most of this opportunity.
