A nine month placement opportunity has arisen to join the ranger team as an Assistant Ranger; working within the experienced team you will learn countryside management skills as well as practical management solutions. You will be required to help with the day to day management of the district’s Nature Reserves. Placement to start in September 2018.
Required Skills
- Driving license
- Enrolled onto a relevant course
Duties
- Day to day practical management of nature reserves
- Assisting with the conservation grazing of cattle and sheep
- Assisting with the delivery of environmental education projects
- Ecological monitoring of sites
Training
- Training offered in the form of on the job training and professional qualifications e.g. Chainsaw, pesticides and or specific ecological/wildlife training.
