I am finally in Iquitos the jungle city after about 36 hours of traveling! I am currently sitting at my Hotel listening to the parrots and about to go shopping for last minute equipment. We arrived last night and went out to enjoy the amazing atmosphere Iquitos has to offer as well as sampling some local food. I heard frogs down on the water front and really wanted to go catch them however decided sleep was probably the best idea at that point! Although I did have the consolation of some baby geckos to photograph back at the hotel! I love this place, and love the humidity and heat, plus I know very soon I will be back in the jungle 🙂 here is a photo of one of the geckos:
