We are delighted to share the fantastic news that two outstanding students, Irene Lopez Huicochea and Elizabeth Gilbody, have been awarded prestigious scholarships to pursue the MA in Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the University of Kent.
Irene Lopez Huicochea has been awarded the CAMEMS Scholarship, a competitive award recognizing academic excellence and a deep commitment to interdisciplinary research in the medieval and early modern periods. We are thrilled to welcome her to the MEMS community and the Canterbury Association for Medieval and Early Modern Studies.
Elizabeth Gilbody is the recipient of the Sasha Roberts Scholarship, named in memory of the much-loved scholar of early modern literature and Shakespeare. This scholarship is awarded to a student whose academic promise and passion for the period reflect the spirit of Sasha Roberts’ legacy.
Both Irene and Elizabeth embody the intellectual curiosity and scholarly dedication that the Medieval and Early Modern Studies MA nurtures. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work and the vibrant academic community that supports them.
Please join us in congratulating Irene and Alicia on these well-deserved honours—we look forward to the exciting research and contributions they will make during their time at Kent!
