The MEMS Fest Committee is thrilled to announce that our 2026 Call for Papers is now open!
Now in its twelfth year, MEMS Fest is an interdisciplinary, student-run conference hosted in Canterbury by the University of Kent’s Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies.
This year’s conference will take place on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th June and will explore the theme ‘Storycrafts in the Premodern World,’ which we encourage attendees to interpret broadly within the scope of their own research and interests.
We are particularly keen to showcase the work of Canterbury’s own research community and so warmly invite you to consider submitting a proposal for either a 20-minute presentation or a poster paper.
To do so, please send an abstract of up to 250 words to memsfestival@kent.ac.uk by Friday 20th March 2026, indicating in the email subject which of the two you are applying for.
Further details can be found on the attached poster. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
