Student Prize for Feminist Scholarship (2015)

Submissions are now invited for the Student Prize for Feminist Scholarship (2015) hosted by the ‘Radical Women: 50 Years of Feminism at Kent’ project.

Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students currently registered at the University of Kent, the competition aims to celebrate innovative student scholarship grounded in feminist theory and practice.

The Scholarship Prize 2015 Committee welcomes written submissions of original work from students in all academic disciplines and fields of study. Submissions should be drawn from current or previous course work, research projects, and/or research dissertations. All submissions must be formatted to fit the word limits stated below, which means some pieces of work may need to be expanded or shortened from the original product. Submissions that do not meet the word limits will not be eligible for the award. Submitted work should not have been previously published.

Entries may address (but need not be limited to): contemporary gender relations; feminist history and politics; gender/sexual identities and subjectivities; social inequalities and rights; gender, economics and social policy; gender prejudice; gender justice; sexuality and LGBTQ politics; femininities and masculinities; feminism and critical race studies; transnational feminisms; and feminist/gender issues in social and legal studies, geography, media and culture, literature and the arts, science and technology, psychology and medicine etc.
