Final-year Law School students Luna Rana and Tom Barrass are shortlisted in the Kent Student Awards 2016.
Luna has been shortlisted for ‘Outstanding International/Multicultural Initiative of the Year’ for her work re-establishing and strengthening the Nepalese Society and for organising the Kent Enlightens Nepal (KEN) event.
Tom has been shortlisted for ‘Outstanding Contribution to College Life’ for improving Turing College’s environment and for his dedication to enhancing college life for all students.
The winning students will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday 6 May. Winners and runners-up will receive cash prizes, official recognition from the University and unique opportunities to gain new experiences as students and alumni.
The Kent Student Awards are held annually to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution students make to the Kent student experience. This year, judges shortlisted three students in each of the 11 categories from a pool of more than 150 nominations.
