Law students awarded scholarships for European Summer School

Kent Law LLB students Rhianna Melvin and Anna Musch have been awarded a scholarship to attend a two-week European Summer School in Brussels.

Rhianna and Anna, were two of 17 students selected for scholarships for Kent Summer Schools taking place in Brussels and Paris.

The Summer School in Brussels, hosted by the Brussels School of International Studies from Sunday 17 June – Saturday 30 June, will address the theme of ‘Europe and the World’.

Rhianna and Anna will be able to explore the main challenges facing the European Union through a combination of study visits, interactive seminars and debate with policy makers from institutions such as NATO and the European Parliament.

Although scholarship applications have now closed, it’s not too late to apply –  applications to all of the University’s Summer Schools remain open until Monday 28 May 2018. The cost of £1,700 includes accommodation, tuition, entrance fees on trips, lunches throughout the two weeks, a two-week travel card around Brussels and a celebratory final dinner to mark the end of the course. Students who pay by Monday 16 April will receive an Early Bird discount of £100 per course.

Summer School students who subsequently enrol onto one of the Law School’s two LLM programme in Brussels will be entitled to a 10% reduction in fees.
