Kent Law School students amongst most satisfied in the UK

Kent Law School’s reputation as a leading UK Law School has been further enhanced this week with confirmation in the latest National Student Survey (NSS) that its students continue to be amongst the most satisfied in the country.

93% of final year undergraduate students said they were satisfied overall with their course, the same percentage as last year which saw Kent placed 15th nationally for this measure.

According to NSS results released today, Kent Law School achieved excellent results in a number of categories including teaching quality with 91% of students endorsing the School’s distinctive ‘critical’ approach to teaching law; students at Kent are encouraged to challenge their understanding of the law in its wider social, political and historical context and to engage in creative debate of contemporary legal developments.

The news comes in a year which has seen the School enjoy its best ever performance in the subject tables for law.

Already ranked 10th in the Times Good University Guide at the beginning of the academic year, Kent Law School is now ranked 14th by the Guardian University Guide and 18th by the Complete University Guide in their 2015 league tables for law. Kent Law School is also well regarded for the employment prospects of its graduates and was placed 13th nationally for this measure within the Guardian league table.

The University of Kent as an institution also received excellent feedback from its students, achieving 91%, the 3rd highest score for overall satisfaction with student experience. This puts Kent on a par with the universities of Oxford and Cambridge who were ranked joint 6th in the survey along with Kent.

The full NSS results will be made available to view alongside the key information sets on the Unistats website in September. Unistats includes data on students’ entry qualifications, progression through course, degree results, and data showing the types of career and further study that students go on to.
