Kent Law School jumps up six places in UK rankings in Complete University Guide 2023

The top 25 ranking sees Kent place as on one of the highest ranked law schools outside of the Russell Group

Kent Law School has risen by six places in the Complete University Guide 2023 Subject table for Law, and is ranked 23rd of 106 law schools in the UK. The top 25 ranking sees Kent place as on one of the highest ranked law schools outside of the Russell Group, and ahead of some Russell Group institutions.

Kent Law School also placed 2nd in the Complete University Guide for Research Quality. This follows its recent success if the Research Excellence Framework 2021, published last month, in which Kent placed 2nd overall in the UK, a measure of commitment of Kent Law School to research led teaching, and to producing world-leading research that makes a difference. The Complete University Guide also reflects the strengths of Kent Law School in Student Satisfaction, and in Graduate Prospects.


The Complete University Guide (CUG) is a trusted and influential resource long used by students looking to study at university. This year it ranked 106 UK law schools against five measures which also include student satisfaction, graduate prospects, and entry standards.

Kent Law School is highly ranked in the other UK league tables, ranked top 20 in both the Times and Guardian league tables. Kent Law School is currently ranked 15th in The Times Good University Guide 2022 and 15th in The Guardian University Guide 2022. The Law School also has an excellent global reputation for law – ranked 58th in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022.
