Congratulations to Dr India Hughes on Passing Her PhD Viva

Kent Law School is delighted to share that India Hughes passed her PhD viva on Friday 27 February.

India’s PhD is about: Agreements to Avoid? The Law, Policy and Practice of section 20, Children Act 1989.

India’s work was examined by Professor David Shemmings (School of Social Sciences, Child Protection) and Professor Helen Carr (Southampton Law School). The examiners report that India engaged with their questions very eloquently during the viva, giving an excellent account of the research.

India’s PhD was supported with a SeNSS studentship, and supervised by Professor Rosemary Hunter, Dr Tracee Green (School of Social Sciences – Child Protection) and Philippa Bruce.

India is now a Lecturer in Law at the University of Greenwich.

Warmest congratulations to DOCTOR India Hughes.
