Apply now for postgraduate taught scholarships at Kent Law School

Students who have applied to study a taught Master’s degree in Law at Kent can now also apply to be considered for a scholarship to cover their tuition fees.

A limited number of scholarships are available which provide a full tuition fee waiver for home/EU and overseas students. Overseas students can also apply for a scholarship that helps cover living expenses in addition to covering tuition costs.

The taught Master’s degree at Kent Law School is called the Kent LLM, a programme which allows students to broaden and deepen their knowledge and understanding of law by specialising in one or more different areas.

Kent LLM students can tailor their studies to their particular needs and interests to obtain an LLM or Diploma in a single specialisation, in two specialisations jointly, or by choosing a broad range of modules in different areas of law to obtain a general LLM or Diploma in Law.

Overseas students have until Monday 16 March 2015 to apply for a choice of two different Taught Masters Overseas Scholarships. Both scholarship programmes provide a full tuition waiver (£12,890 in 2015/16) but one also provides a generous award to cover living expenses (equivalent to £13,863 in 2014/15).

Home/EU students should apply for the Taught Masters Home/EU Scholarships by Friday 8 May 2015. The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition fees at the full Home/EU rate (£5,100 in 2014/15).

Scholarships are open to all applicants on the Kent LLM programme at the Canterbury campus and are awarded on the basis of academic excellence.

Students who are successful in the application will be considered Kent LLM Scholars and will have the opportunity to act as LLM Ambassadors.

The Kent LLM attracts excellent law graduates from around the world and is also open to non-law graduates with an appropriate academic or professional background who wish to develop an advanced understanding of law in their field.
