Important update re blended learning at Kent Law School for new and returning students

For new and returning students at Kent Law School, our blended learning approach this Autumn term means you have a choice of both online and on-campus learning opportunities.

Your learning is important to us and we want to be sure we can meet your choices (and needs) as fairly as possible.

In order to do this, we’ve made the following adjustments to teaching arrangements at KLS:

  • Initially, all curriculum activities will be delivered online
  • Between Monday 5 October and Thursday 8 October, we’ll ask you to decide whether you want to study online or on-campus for the choice of learning opportunities available at your stage
  • Once all choices are made, we will work towards meeting your choices for on-campus learning
  • On-campus learning is planned to begin in Week 4 (the week beginning Monday 19 October)

There are a number of advantages to this approach:

  • If you’re arriving on campus and required to self-isolate at the beginning of term, you won’t miss out on any face-to-face learning opportunities
  • You will be able to discover what online learning is like before making a decision about whether to switch to on-campus learning (where it’s available)
  • Student life is going to be a bit different this term because of the new safety measures – you’ll have time to get used to navigating your way around campus, wearing masks etc before beginning any on-campus learning

We will let you know how to make choices of on-campus or online learning in the early weeks of term.
