We are delighted to announce that Professor Marialena Nikolopoulou, Deputy Head of School, has been included among the top 100,000 researchers, and top two per cent in the world, according to a recent study published by Stanford University. The database includes all disciplines, from clinical medicine, to engineering, and social sciences. There were only 892 entries for the field of ‘Built Environment & Design’ globally, which further highlights her achievement and the impact of her work.
Professor Marialena Nikolopoulou founded the Centre for Architecture and the Sustainable Environment, and is also Programme Director for the MSc Architecture and the Sustainable Environment. Professor Nikolopoulou is also the Principal Investigator of the Urban Albedo research project, the UK lead for the Solutions for Outdoor Climate Adaptation (SOLOCLIM) European Industrial Doctorate, and is an internationally renowned speaker.
