Staff from across departments came together for two action packed evenings on Tuesday and Thursday for the latest VC Cup event, with a fun and social rounders competition that saw teams battle it out for crucial points in the VC Cup standings.
For everyone to be involved, participants were divided into two large teams on each evening, creating an inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere with plenty of chances to bat and field. A ‘hit and run’ batting rule added extra excitement creating some funny and chaotic moments throughout both days.
There were fantastic fielding performances on display across the event, with several impressive catches helping teams limit scoring and keeping matches very closely contested.
After the two days of entertaining rounders, Flu Fighters emerged as the standout team, winning three matches to finish as the overall VC Cup Rounders Champions. Several teams were hot on their heels also, with BDR, Last Ones Standing, Ctrl+Alt+Win, Marlowe’s, Winter Soldiers, and Liquorice All Sports all recording two victories each.
A massive thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make the event so fun! The mix of friendly competition and teamwork made another memorable VC Cup event.
