Stamp Out Stress with 10k run

Why not take a break from it all and join in with the University of Kent Canterbury 10km run this weekend? Part of the University of Kent’s Stamp Out Stress series of events to help students manage the demands of exam season.

The run, which is co-organised with Sporting Events UK, is a fun and welcoming event that is open not only to students but also to people of all abilities, from University of Kent staff to the wider community.

Starting at the University’s sports Pavilion at 10.30am on Sunday 21 May, the route takes runners through the Canterbury countryside along the historic and picturesque Crab and Winkle way. Participants will be timed and receive a medal. This is a day for all the family including shorter races for children. Sign up today!

We require volunteer marshals to line points of the route along the Crab and Winkle way.  All those wishing to volunteer get a complementary bacon roll and coffee from the Pavilion Cafe Bar. Volunteers should contact Barry Hopkins by emailing barry@sportingeventsuk.com to register.

The Stamp Out Stress series of sports activities includes bike rides, using Kent Sport’s new Cycle Hub, golf, climbing, archery, dodgeball and Japanese swordsmanship. Pre-booking for events is advisable. For further details see the Sport at Kent timetable booklet.
