Kicking hard in the wind and mud during the BUCS Cross Country

Kent Sport Scholar Chloe Sharp finished a very respectable 19th out of 129 competitors at this year BUCS 8k cross country running race. Chloe informs us that the course itself was not a major challenge but strong winds, boggy mud on the foot and a few world class athletes made for an exciting race. The atmosphere during the whole event was amazing and Chloe tells us although It was tough she kept fighting until the end; and 400m from the finish line she had the strength to out kick some girls she does not usually beat. She crossed the line and sat down in that boggy mud knowing she had worked her butt off!

Chloe was proud to wear her Kent vest, and up next will be the BUCS indoors (track racing) which is just under two weeks away. Good luck Chloe, Kent is proud of your achievements!
