Sunday 31st May saw the world’s best triathletes competing in London, Hyde Park for the sixth world triathlon series race.
Vicky Annis and Oli Williamson joined forces on the physiotherapy front as there was a larger team of athletes competing.
The men’s race was first. There was an unfortunate mechanical incident that meant Jonathon Brownlee had to change his rear wheel of the bike immediately after the first transition. The race was a sprint distance which made making up the deficit near impossible. Alistair was able to seal the victory for Great Britain.
Vicky Holland continued to show that she is in form and finished in fifth position following on from her victory in Cape Town.
“Being at the same venue as the 2012 Olympic Games certainly had a great feel to it. Seeing Alistair become victorious again and being a part of the Great Britain triathlon support team always feels very special.” says Vicky Annis.
