BUCS Student National Taekwondo Winter Championships

Kent Sport scholar battles the traffic and then battles to a bronze medal

As the only representative from Kent, Junling Ong decided to battle the delayed traffic and poor weather conditions to compete in the BUCS Student National Taekwondo championships. Fortunately, the accommodation was good and because she travelled up the day before the event started, Junling had time to do some preparatory work before stepping onto the court. This preparation was valuable and she built her confidence up as the tournament went on and walked away with a bronze medal in the final round.

Despite this great performance, Junling recognises that there is still room for improvement and as this might be her final year competing in these style competitions she is aiming to train harder for the next competition this month. Great attitude Junling, Kent Sport support you 100%!
