Dr Emmett Brown: If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.
Forty runners shot off from the sunny start line of the Back to the Future Fun Run on Friday 4th March. The runners ran through the decades, with music playing from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s along each stage of the three mile course. Prizes were awarded to 1st and 2nd place for both students and staff, and all participants enjoyed well-earned hot chocolate and cookies at the end.
It was great to see nine departments running including a four strong School of Arts team, who are taking part in the Vice Chancellor’s Cup for the first time this year! The departmental 1st place was won by Paul Sales from Kent Innovation & Enterprise with a time of 00:19:19 and Tamsin Harris from Kent Business School with a time of 00:21:57. 2nd place was taken by Zita Stone, also from Kent Business School and Hang Xu from EDA.
For students, 1st place was achieved by S.E.L. Maguire with a lightning time of 00:17:42 followed by Julien Colin with a time of 00:18:52.
A huge congratulations to all who took ran, jogged, walked (or danced!) their way through time; the enthusiasm from everyone made it a fantastic event.
