In December 2016, Kent Sport will be hosting another Kent’s Sporting Legends event celebrating past, present and future sports stars in the county.
The past Kent’s Sporting Legends events have celebrated some outstanding individuals as well as all Kent sporting successes. These have included alumni such as Wayne Otto OBE, nine times World and European karate champion, University of Kent Sport honorary members such as Dame Kelly Holmes MBE and Barry McGuigan MBE, double Olympian Kent Sport staff member Mel Clewlow, as well as a number of University of Kent Sport scholars. There has also been no shortage of upcoming sporting talent to celebrate at Kent’s Sporting Legends, including Bobby and Alex Clay (athletics), Millie Knight (Paralympic skier) and gymnast Abbie Wyver.
