The Sports Development team from Kent Sport have put together a comprehensive programme of activities for the summer term to help keep students and staff active and stress-free.
If you haven’t attended one of the sessions already there are still some opportunities. Why not try something new and give your brain a break from your work.
Here is a review of the events thus far…
Quidditch tournament, Sunday 17th May
University of Kent students got their first taste of this fast-growing sport which is a product of the popular Harry Potter novels by J.K.Rowling.
The Hogwarts society helped Kent Sport staff introduce 28 participants to quaffles, bludgers and snitches, with activities followed by the sampling of Butter Beer in the Pavilion Café Bar.
If you didn’t get the chance to play this year but are keen to have a go next year you can contact a member of the Sports Development team for more details.

Rodeo Ride (Stamp Out Stress), Wednesday 20th May
55 participants tried their hand at riding the mechanical bull hired from Affordable Bouncy Castles, with mixed success.
The shortest time spent on the bull was a mere 15 seconds, with the longest lasting rider lasting an impressive 2 minutes and 24 seconds (recorded by Jackline Anspach).

Archery Experience (Stamp Out Stress), Wednesday 20th May
A group of 22 participants joined Steve Nicholson and his team from Robin Hood Events in Broad Oak (Canterbury) to try their hand at Archery.
Despite the windy weather, most participants managed to hit at least one of the targets on the various challenges set over the 2 hour session.
