KBS Graduate Represents Kent in the Santander Universities Emerging Entrepreneurs Programme

The Santander Universities Emerging Entrepreneurs Programme started on May 20, 2020. The University of Kent and Kent Business School is being represented by Andrew Christopher.

Kent Business School (KBS) graduate, Andrew Christopher, is representing the University of Kent on this year’s prestigious Santander Universities Emerging Entrepreneurs programme.

Selected to take part after winning the pitching finals of the 2019 Business Start-Up Journey, Andrew will be developing his business, LDrive, a platform connecting independent driving instructors with learner drivers.

The Emerging Entrepreneurs programme supports early-stage founders to develop their start-ups.

It includes access to exclusive digital content from Sporting Edge Performance Zone featuring advice from elite performers and business experts including Chelsea FC manager, Frank Lampard, in the field of talent management and May Busch, former COO at Morgan Stanley on leadership impact.

“The first day of the programme was really enjoyable. It was inspiring to hear from last year’s winner. We also had to ask ourselves some tough questions as founders, trying to find the core values and purpose to the solution we are providing.

I’m really excited about the next steps. Development of LDrive is going swiftly now and things are looking very bright.” – Andrew Christopher

Later in the programme, Andrew, who studied Business and Management at KBS in Medway, will participate in a business accelerator offering workshops and masterclasses led by innovative businesses and speakers. It also includes panel discussions and keynote speeches.

The final stage of the programme is in September when there will be a pitching final with up to £30,000 in equity-free seed fund, business mentoring and the opportunity to take on a fully-funded intern.
