Kent Business School (KBS) hosted the 4th Data Envelopment Analysis International Conference (DEAIC) on the weekend of June 28-30, 2019.
The conference was jointly organised by the KBS Centre of Anglo-Chinese Business & Management, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Society for Evaluation Methods and Applications and Nanjing Audit University, China.
The DEAIC focused on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and related research in the era of Big Data research.
More than 60 delegates delivered papers and keynote speeches in the 3-day event and had the opportunity to interact with other leading researchers during the event. Delegates were from Universities and Institutions in:

- Japan

- China
- Spain
- Ecuador
- Czech Republic
- South Korea
- France
Five keynote speeches were delivered by leading researchers in DEA. These high-profile keynote speakers included
- Joe Zhu of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA
- Wade D. Cook of Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada,
- Jesús T. Pastor of Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche, Spain
- Emmanuel Thanassoulis of Aston Business School, UK
- Victor Podinovski of Loughborough University, UK.
The Chair of DEAIC2019 Prof. Steve Wenbin Liu when addressing the closing ceremony indicated that the conference had been successful from feedback by speakers and delegates. Prof. Joe Zhu, Founder and General Chair of DEAIC, thanked KBS and the conference organisers for the successful event.
DEAIC2020 will take place at Dongguk University in South Korea.
