Under new regulations, equity release mortgages are a viable source of funding for the elderly. The working party includes prestigious financial companies and institutions like Scottish Widows, KPMG, PWC, Deloitte, Nordea and it has links with the Prudential Regulatory Authority.
The appointment follows recognition of Professor Tunaru’s research on mortgages and real-estate markets published recently in his research monograph Real-Estate Derivatives, Oxford University Press (https://global.oup.com/academic/product/real-estate-derivatives-9780198742920?cc=gb&lang=en&).
