Kent Business School is proud to announce that Dr Simon Raby, Research Associate for the Centre for Employment, Competitiveness and Growth (ECG) has been awarded a Leverhulme Research Fellowship.
As a Fellow, Dr Raby will progress a dynamic programme of research and engagement to provide a comparative understanding on how small and medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) achieve enduring growth and success.The institutional partners involved in the project will be Kent Business School, University of Kent and Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary.
As Dr Raby comments:
“Focusing on Calgary, an area that has experienced significant growth over the past decade, the work will provide a real opportunity to develop and share best practice on the processes that drive SME growth and performance, and the ways this learning can be translated into innovative teaching methods for SME owner-managers/entrepreneurs, and their businesses”.
Professor Stephen Roper, Director of UK’s Enterprise Research Centre added:
“The specific work will provide an injection of new knowledge into the UK SME policy environment. Simon and his colleagues have developed extremely innovative research and teaching methods for SMEs this Fellowship will help support the aims of the ERC.”
The Leverhulme Trust grants fellowships to experienced researchers looking to complete a programme of original research.
