KEiBA 2014 awards for Kent Business School graduate

The External Services team at Kent Business School (KBS) is delighted to congratulate one its partner organisations, Integrated Technologies Limited (ITL), on its success at the 2014 Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA). A worthy contribution was made by KBS graduate, Carl Lincoln, to this accomplishment. ITL won awards as Business of the Year for both manufacturing and science/technology.

Carl commented:”The KEiBA awards have been excellent for ITL and winning two awards really made us stand out. It’s testament to a great group of people with whom I thoroughly enjoy working.”

Carl recently graduated from the MSc in Value Chain Management programme. He joined ITL shortly after leaving KBS, having been offered a job as a result of the student enterprise ‘Pitch It!’ challenge’ run by the school.

Carl is now a full-time employee at ITL. In his capacity as Business Development Coordinator, he manages all online marketing and offline advertising communications. This activity was previously outsourced and Carl has been instrumental in setting up the in-house function.

KBS’s enterprise and employability agenda has an excellent record of having a positive impact on the life of its students and their employment prospects. The school’s employability group works closely with students to prepare them for working life.

Recent data published by the Higher Education Statistical Agency survey on the destinations of university graduates underlines the quality of the support provided. The results show that the employment of KBS graduates is demonstrably higher than the average UK business graduate.
