Kent Business School’s Medway Home Moves to Pembroke Site

Kent Business School’s Medway home has moved to the Pembroke site on the Medway campus. The Medway Building is the new location for KBS, an award-winning unique, brass–clad building designed by RMJM.

This move puts Kent Business School at the heart of the Medway Campus, a former Royal Naval base combining historic and new buildings which enables students to enjoy the unique experience of student life alongside two other universities.

Speaking of the Medway Move, Dr Catherine Robinson, Deputy Dean, said: “We are thrilled to be over on the main Medway campus. Here you can feel the dynamics of the environment, there is a busy buzz being on the main campus with all its eateries and the student bar, The Deep End. Being so near to Pier Quays has a huge impact and it is so close to the library which is open 24/7 in exam time.

We have developed the ASPIRE space downstairs on the second floor and in addition there is also the Oasis lounge opposite with a pool table and microwave. The views from this building are fantastic, it’s more open and it really feels like a Business School. We feel part of an organisation now here at Medway. Overall, it creates a stronger community feel, one we really need after the pandemic.”
